Hello RC,

I have been lurking on this board for years (been in the hobby for 12 years. )

My tank original tank was wiped out by the Blackout of 2002. I will never make the mistake of not having a battery powered airstone again!

Anyway just set up a 65g AGA with overflow with 20g long sump (baffled for refugium). Well when it came time to buy the skimmer I couldn't decide what I wanted. So I decided just decided to ask my LFS (sometimes this actually works). I bought a MTC 250 Sump model. It is a tight fit in the sump but the quality is ridiculous you could drop the thing 20 and it wouldn't break! It has been running know for a couple of days. The foam I'm getting is so dry it is almost like styrofoam!!!

My basic question is are their any recommended mods for this skimmer. I'm running it with a Mag12.

Once again, nobody on this site uses an MTC?

I used an mtc 250 on a 180 and it worked great. I used a senn 900. I know nothing about mags, never used one. Did you check their site? If not, check it, get the phone # and call. I have always got a human at the other end.

Thanks

They said the Mag 12 was fine.

I guess it really is just plug and play.

You would think that this skimmer would be more popular. I like it a lot.
