I am in the process of converting my 5ogal freshwater to saltwater and the next step for me is getting the proper lighting setup. Anybody selling or know of a good site to buy used tank stuff?
Thanks
Rosalyn

Your best shot at getting used equipment is probably right here. Folks offer up a lot of stuff as they upgrade or (unfortunately) take a break from the hobby.

Additionally, you might check the Used Equipment & Drygoods Selling forum here (http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=2) but you'll likely have to pay shipping and not necessarily have as much trust in the seller as somebody here locally who attends club meetings and you can look in the eye...

Do you have an idea of what type of lighting you want? What types of corals you intend to keep? You may find MH fixtures and PC lighting here...haven't seen any T-5 sell-offs yet.

You can sometimes find local stuff on eBay. Do an advanced search and look for local sellers (within as many miles as you're willing and can travel to pick up) with your keywords in their listing. You might find something. But A-D is right. Lots of stuff is available here.

I have some power compact lights available that I just took off of my 50, if you have a canopy to mount them in, see this thread:

Work great for LPS and softies and some SPS.
