Is a 20 gallon refuge good enough for a 75 gallon tank?

What should I put in it?

What purpose do Copeopods server?

Lastly what are the benefits of having one?

Thanks for all your help.

20 gallons is better then none.

deep sand bed, macroalgae

food

benefits include larger water volume. Macroalgae helps remove minerals. Dsb remove some nitrates

Is it worth doing? I have a sea horse tank there now and I think it is trashing my reef tank as they all feed off the same water supply.

In my opinion, it is worth doing.

The microalae will use up nutrients and other minerals in the water which will aid in water quality. The animal life that will generate in the fuge (pods) will make thier way back to the main tank and assit is duterous control.

The overall increase in water valume will also assist in stanalizing your system.

I wish I had a 20g fuge. That would be nice!! I don't have the space for one. I just have a little AquaFuge.

Put a DSB in your fuge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
20 gallons is perfect dude. 5 inch deep and bed, so good live rock(dont need that much maybe 9-14 lbs.) and some macro with about 50 watts of lighting and your set. From the algae along with the rock you will have all the bacteria and pods you need. Dont get sucked into wasting money on pod cultures. Do it urself. Just put the rock int he fuge for a few months and be patient.
