I've heard that it may work while the fish a small, but when they get big it would be a problem keeping them together

I have 3 very large rabbit fish and they stay together. They also developed a pecking order in the tank among themselves, specially when it comes to food. Just make sure you keep atleast 3 of them together as I had for 3 for a long time and then one died and the other one almost killed the remaining one. I had to go out and get another one and then everything went back to normal.

They do get large and will reach the 8"-14" range, and watch for the spines as they're is you get stung it really hurts.

That's cool! I am planning to keep 3-4 in my 240. I hope they school too! I just bought a virgatus and hope to be picking up a dolantus (sp??) soon. To these I will add a FoxFace Lo and maybe a Magestic. I am very pleased to learn of your posative results!

I had a scribble rabbitfish also but the blue spoted rabbitfish stressed him to death  . So if your going to have eather the scribble or the blue spotted rabbit don't put them togeather. you will be very unhappy with the outcome.

From what I've read in books and online rabbit fishes should be kept alone. Guess you can't believe everything you read :D

Don't believe everything you read in books ;)

Most books, as well as on-line sites that sell fish, are wrong on a lot of things, from fish size to tank requirements to what they can an can't be kept with.

My aquascape will be laid out to provide lots of blinds to reduce overall aggresion. Also the scribble I am looking at is twice the size (6") of the virgatus (3") I just got. Additionally, I would add the scribble to the 240 display first then shortly there after add the virgatus. If that fails the scribblr will go back to my 75g. So ... I have a plan.

The thing of put rabbit fish and foxfaces together is not size or hiding spaces but putting 3 or more of them together. Putting 2 together will cause one to attack the other one and because Rabbitfish are skiddish to be begin with this will cause one to usually get beaten up to the point whether they die.

I am thinking 3-4 total ... I hope it works out

It should have work, I've had 3 together for years and even though they do fight, they develop a pecking order, they do ok together. They just need a lot of food specially greens as they're vacum cleaners.

That's why I want them in the first place :)

What species are in that group?

they will be easer found by there common name's but if you need sintific just ask. First one is a golden rabbit, the middle guy is a white spoted rabbit, the back guy is a blue spoted rabbit (most common rabbit in the trade) and underneath them is the magnifica foxface. I might add a gold nugget rabbitfish to the group to finish off my rabbit fish collection but i think i will be pushing my luck.
