I am setting up a 360gl 96x36x24 and have two 6100 tunzes with multi. Would I be better off going BB. I don't really like the look of BB but I also don't want a sand storm if I angle them down alittle.
Thanks
Steve

i went bb but now that i saw Iwans tank and the prohibio stuff i kinda wish i went DSB.. he does take out the top layer of sand often though... thats a lot of work...

with an acrylic tank bb is the only way to help reduce the scratching...

I'm going Starphire so scatching won't be a problem
Can you give a link to see his tank or any others. Thanks

I just setup two Tunze 6200's on my 96 x 36 x 30 and I have a 4" dsb. I have notice minimal sand movement as it more or less shifts depth in only a few spots. They pushed some of the sand in the middle out toward the ends but nothing major.

I have my stream up on my overflows, I have no problems with sand moving around

FWIW if you do choose sand with the tunzes, I'd stay away from the smaller sized sand grains such as southdown.

I am using tunze, (wavebox, 2x6100, 1x6000) and am happy.

Have gone through a lot of filter socks getting the finer grain stuff filtered out though. Second the reccomndation to get coarser grain dand if possible.
