Ballast questions

I have the 48 MH/T5 combo hood and run 250w 14k coralvue bulbs. I was wondering what type of ballast is in this light? I would like to purchase new bulbs and would like to know if I can run 250w 10k Ushio SE bulbs with this ballast.

Your fixture's ballast is by Venture Lighting. It has two 250W probe start ( ANSI code: M58 ) magnetic ballasts.

The Ushio 250W 10K SE bulbs are also probe start ( M58 ) so you will have no problems running those bulbs on that ballast.
