Sea-lab Blocks????

I just wanted to hear the opinion of any experienced aquarist on sea-lab blocks for supplementing calcium and trace elements.

when i first started my LFS recommended them as an easy way to deal with not having multiple supplements to add, seemed to work okay.. though i didn't have much to compare it to.

since then i've heard mixed reports, though most of the criticisms is that it doesn't really only release when needed as much as just slowly releases, so could potentially cause higher levels of calcium than anticipated if you have more than enough blocks in there (but i'm guessing you could figure a good amount of blocks..).

so for me the verdict is out, so i'm tagging along..
