Ok I just got my 65g aga up and running again. I'm going BB and everything is looking fine right now the only problem is that my tank is running at 85 degrees.

I was wondering if there was anyway to bring down the temp.? I'll be raising the lights in a few days i know that will cool the tank down some.

If you have a canopy, you could add some computer fans blowing in and out.

If that's an option, you can get them for cheap on eBay.

put a fan near the light to draft the heat away. I have a 400w over a 58g and it never gets above 81, I have 2 4" fans in the canopy pulling the heat out before it heats the water up. You might want to check your heater and make sure it is not stuck on. or a pump is not heating up to much.

I don't have a canopy but I have thought about getting fans for it, I just need some other ideas if there are any options.

If you have a sump you can put a desk fan or clip on fan blowing over the sump, that should cool it down a couple of degrees.

Thanks for all or your replies. But now for some reason it is staying at 80 to 81, I didn't change anything I don't know what happened I'm going to monitor it for a few days to see what happens.
