they are 3 years old and the suction cups that mount them to the glass are not cutting it anymore.

Anyone know of an alternate way to mount them?

Do you still have the remaining parts from when you bought them? They have a clip the hangs on the sidde of the tank that can be used. You may also be able to find replacment suction cups online or in an LFS.

you can use the magnet mod to mount them. there are threads in some forums about doing this mod. sorry, can't find the link for the threads right now.

Yes...get a MagFloat rated for the thickness of your tank's glass....remover the suction cups and put some AquaMend Epoxy to hold one side of the magnet to the clip that formerly held the suction cups. Then, put it on the glass of your aquarium and hold it there with the other side of the magnet on the outside of the tank. This method works like a charm. And, you can clean the glass with it, too.

They are nice, but not if you use a glass canopy.
