I have 4 different colors of mushrooms on one rock. All but the red ones have moved on and around the tank. I want to give the rock to a friend that is wanting to put corals in his daughters nano. Can I snip them off as close to the rock as I can? I know it will probably shribble and slime at first but wouldn't it survive. I know enought about shrooms that another one will grow back in its place. I have to do something because the green and purple shrooms are taking over and I want to blend some of the red ones also.
thanks in advance!!! :D :smokin: :fun1:

Just cut them under the cap with SHARP scissors and both parts will be fine (the cap and stem). I use Chicago Cutlery kitchen shears to propagate my Mushrooms. They do a very nice job.

Here is an Article on Mushroom Propagation, this may answer any more questions you may have.
