Are there any home depots that carry southdown playsand here in Columbus? My tank move is less than a month away and I have to start gathering things.

Your not going to find any in columbus..

You'll be lucky to find it anywhere in ohio...

I think it was pretty much limeted to some Home Depots around Cinci. But that was a few years ago.

Maybe someone has seen it somewhere since then.

if i remember right i think i heard somewhere that you can go into HD and request it and givin ample time they can get it in for you. dont hold me to it because ive never actually tried i just know ive seen that before.

i've heard or people using quickrete sand. there is also yardright (pretty much same as southdown) try some gardening stores cincy area seemed to be a hot spot for whatever reason.
or go for the "made for reef" stuff by Caribsea.

I have a couple guys that work with me that part time a HD. The Sku can be found but in reality it doesn't exist. The one guy worked on it for a month for me last year... no dice. I've nosed around in the Ft Lauderdale (and quite a few places in between) area with no luck.

Yardright is southdown. I don't know where you'll find it though. I think you just can't get it anymore. Anywhere.
