Just purchased a Current USA Fission Nano-Protein Skimmer!
First shipment at Trop in Ocean and I grabbed it out of the shipping box. Cute little thing. I have it up and running in a 12 gal Acu Pod. 10 min so far. Lets see how it works.

First note, the water level has to be kept at a "Optimum Water Level". Well in order to close the lid at this level it will be far more down than I currently keep it in my tank. I keep it at this level so that there is sufficient flow to the rear compartments.
Huh, maybe a mod?
Ill repost as it performs. JFI $22.00

Ok, couple of hours and no skimate, lots of M bubbles, but, this unit is so small, Micro, that, I really would like it to work.
Will try to post pics on sat, I still have to work out how to do it correctly. Greg

USA Fission Nano-Protein Skimmer
Update- Crashed 2 tanks, (not because uf the skimmer) and took losses so I havent played with it much yet but heres a few observations.
Micro bubbles- seems no way to mod might have to live with them.
Proper water level-this will be a chaledge-evaperation-closing the lid-surface skimmer, this will be problematic!
Collection Cup-SMALL very small,it is working but to keep the skimmate dry as not to fill the cup to fast the water level issue is a problem.
Placement-The idea was to place unit in the rear compartments, but to close the lid and have the water level proper you have to lower the level to much! Cute as heck tho.
