Little white guys all over in my sump? copepods?

I have these little off-white things stuck to my glass in my sump. My camera isn't working so I can post a pic right now. They very from an 1/8 to about 1/4 inch. Does anyone know what they are?

are they worm like? Moving around? staying stuck on the glass?? on the fish :eek:?

Yes,They are stuck on the glass. I just noticed them. I had abug in my sump and scooped it out and they I got a couple of them too and looked again and they are all over in the sump.

copepods sort of skip occasionally along the glass surface. They're white and attract fish like bandits.

that sounds like a type of sponge. I have them in similar areas and they look like little cotton balls stuck to the glass or stationary otherwise. Copepods are tiny creatures that you can see moving around.

Could be Sycon sponges, or perhaps spirorbid worms. Forams are another possibility.

take a look here www.melevsreef.com/id see if you can id it from there. if not we are going to need a much better description. saying something is white makes it impossible to ID.
