I picked up a used acrylic tank last week and am going to start setting it up this weekend. I have never had acrylic before, can I use vinegar to get rid of the calcium build up like I would on a glass tank?

Use a liquid plastic polish like meguires, or novus to get out scratches. Heavy scratches may be buffed or sanded out with 5000-10000 grit paper found at auto specialty paint stores. But for just regular cleaning once tank is running, I just use a plastic credit card/ driver lic. to get algae and calcium off glass. Hope it helps.
