I was given a hawaiian cleaner wrasse to help eliminate my ich problem by my friend. He gave it to me after it took care of his ich problem. I would like to keep this fish but after doing some research on it, it is not recommended because of his eating habit. I read that it only eats parasites. Is this true. Or how do you take care of it.
Thanks

Hawaiian cleaners can learn to eat frozen food - try mysis for starters. Sometimes it's tough to get them eating, though.

The wrasse may or may not help with the ich problem - I don't think they actually eat the ich parasites.

i have one. and at first he just picked off the fish for like 2 days. then on the third day or show he just started attacking all the flakes and eating them. hes so much fun to watch eat flakes now :-D he'll also clean my hand and all when i put it in there which is pretty cool. btw I use formula 2 flake food....
