I have been curing 88 lbs of live rock in my 75 g tank for the last 8 days. The ammonia has peaked and is getting close to 0. Last night I decided I wanted to run my new lights for a while. I ran than for about 9 hours. In that time my tank temperature went from 79 to 82 degrees. Is this to much of a rise in temperature for that time?

No problem as long as you home has AC. Summer usually tells the true story for us northerners.

Summer is when the leaves grow out on the trees, and the birds and the bees and all the other forest creatures are no longer twitterpated. :)

depending on the home temp you may want to get yourself some fans to address the problem( you would not want more temp swing than that)
