Trying to get an idea of how many burgers and hotdogs to get.

So if you are coming or not, please post here!

Me and my son. I haven't volunteered to bring anything yet. Shoudl I bring tea (sweet and unsweet) or cookies or some other sweet item?

Hi Scott, tea is very picnic-ish and therefore great! Also, cookies are really good too.

Someone else can bring maybe baked beans, potato salad (come on Zack!), cole slaw, corn, sweet stuff, whatever you want (just trying to make sure we have enough sides too).

I'll be there, but my wife will be at work. I'm still not sure what to bring. I've thought about baked beans or potato salad, but being from up north I don't know if my recipes would be acceptable for southern taste buds. I guess I could always go with chips, but that's kinda taking the easy way out.

See ya there!

Since I've got some folks tagging along on the group order, and this will be my last opportunity to come to an ETRC meeting for quite a while, I'll be there!

I'll be there with Dutch apple pie.

I'll be there, I had planned on bringing baked beans but if you want to bring the beans Kevin I'll bring something else. I just need to know by tonight, going to the store to get supplies on my way home.

I will be there!

(I had planned a ski trip for next week, but my ski buddy (Dad) had to go to Moscow...)

Looking forward to seeing everyone. I've still got to think about what to bring!

Only bad thing is that it's supposed to be freaking cold that day. So I guess the picnic theme will have to be inside only. Rats!

I hope it's alright if I bring the beans. Kevin said he might want to bring beans or potato salad. I am leaving work in a half hour or so and need to go by the store to get the ingrediants.

Put bacon and onions in the beans and we'll forgive you. Well, I will. I don't think Mel likes bacon in her beans. ;)

The beans are one of my wife's specials, and yes they do have bacon in them - but it is cooked bacon and onion. They are YUMMY!! See ya'll there.

Mel's vegetarian.
You could make one batch with both and one smaller batch without bacon.

Sorry, I didn't get back to you Patrick. Feel free to bring the baked beans. Since Zack is likely bringing the potato salad I'll just chicken out and go with chips.

Sorry, Mel, I have to miss another one. Have a conference at Maryville College Friday and Saturday. Maybe someday I can come to another meeting...and dream of having a healthy, colorful tank again....

yall have fun, see you at the next one. Wow. I was down there last year a few weeks after Katrina came through (left a day early to avoid Rita). Have they straightened out things yet? The area I was in most of the week had been 6 feet under water and was a mess.

Hi guys, So I am not a vegetarian but I don't eat cows or pigs. You don't need to make special considerations for me, but it would be nice to know (at the meeting) if things have hidden bacon or something like that. Anyone remember Eddie's beans? Nothing hidden about that bacon! hah hah. Too bad Eddie that you can't make it!

Kevin, could you bring potato salad? If you make northern style, that will be fine I am sure. It's super easy for me to pick up chips and dip for everyone, so if that could be left up to me that would be great! If not, I totally understand. No biggie if you have your heart set on chips.

Jan...too bad girl! The next one will probably be the third saturday in may, so check out your schedule now! hah hah.

Skwirl...maybe you can make it to the next one!

Chris...okey dokey. He's welcome to come or not, up to him!

Zack...you are taunting me with the potato salad once again. Shame on you.

(Sorry for the hijack...) We were in Gulfport for Christmas and it still looked like a war zone. They got hit pretty bad, too, but not as bad as Waveland and Slidell. Very few standing structures and a lot of concrete piles everywhere. Jenn's parents live on the high side of the railroad tracks. They got lucky...

I'll take on the potato salad. I was just suggesting the chips because I was pretty much at a loss after that. I don't know if mine will be as good as Zack's, but hopefully it will suffice. :)

It's looking like I may be able to make it. If I do, I'll bring some beer. A picnic with out beer is unAmerican IMO.

Any thoughts on pasta or macaroni salad? I could do either one or just bring anything else you might need for the Hamburgers and hot dogs Mel.
