A friend at work just bought two aquatic turtles. (RES I assume.) She did this, the way most people buy them: with no idea whatsoever as to the care requirements or eventual size of the turtles. The sales person, as expected, lied to her. In any case, she needs:

- a small aquarium, say 10 to 20 gallons
- filter: HOB, in-tank, or small cannister (Zoomed 501 would be ideal)
- a basking light
- turtle dock

If anyone has any items that might work they want to get rid of cheap, or knows someone, please reply here or shoot me a PM.

Richard, Do you mean just the aquarium? A standard 10 gallon runs about $10 new some places. If you get some details, like size and if it comes with anything, let me know.
Thanks

Sounds exactly what my friend at work is looking for. Can you confirm with him and ask his price? I can come pick it up whenever.

I have a 20 gallon with a filter and a hood for $25. If you don't need the filter, I'll drop it to $20. Drop me a pm and we'll hook up.

Well-Hello,
I take it that you are Richard/True Percula's friend?
As I understand it, your offer is:
$45 for a 10 gallon tank, filter, turtle dock, basking lamp, and some turtle food. Three question:
1) Did I list your offer correctly/nothing missing?
2) Is the tank a regular tank or a specific turtle tank (the kind with half of one side cut out).
3) What kind of filter is it, include brand and model if you know it, or just the type if you dont (HOB, canister, in tank etc)

Well-Hello,
Oops, I see that Richard said a stand and canopy is included. Is that correct?

well, umm the 45$ package includes, tank(reg 10g), light(basking light), turtle dock, 10g filter (i think top fin), and free turtle food.

i have a matching set of 10g stand and canopy for the tank. which is seperate. if you want i can sell it to you or your friend.

Well-Hello,
Thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate your offer, but it looks like I can get the same things new for almost the same price at PetCo or PetSmart: (Tank $15, Top Fin filter $12, basking lamp $9.99, turtle dock 8.99). I may be missing something about your offer, like maybe the basking lamp is a combined hood and lamp or something. I will talk to my friend at work, she may offer you some cash if you can come down on the price.
Thanks

Osteomata, if you end up going with PetSmart, they will match web prices if you print the page from thew website. An easy way to save a few bucks on everything and still get it local.
