I've heard that clove polyps are a good thing to have in an aquarium however, they seem to be crowding out the zoos.

When I bought the zoos it was easy to count the number of polyps. Not it's hard to see the zoos for the polyps and the polyps are spreading.

Any suggestions or advice?

they are fine, but you can't let corals grow into each other like that.

My advice, if they are very intertwined, try and frag some of each colony and place each of those frags in their own secluded spot. The frags will eventually grow into their own full colonies, and the tangle that you currently have will turn into a third colony of the dominant coral.
