Brown algae

Hi All -

My 55 gal has been working great until just recently when we got a big bloom of fuzzy brown algae. How do I combat brown algae. I'd have searched for the answer but the search function isn't working.

If your tank is less than a year old it is most likly just a normal algea bloom. Diatoms is what you are seeing. I would check you water paramiters and start doing 10% weekly water changes and it should subside in a few weeks.
