Molting

Well I had the typical reaction to the first molting of my shrimp. I woke up and saw it and thought he was dead. Silly me. So my question is, how often does a shrimp molt?

Depends on the condition of your tank. Mine molt every month or so. Hard to say since I have 2 and I don't know which ones are molting.

Mine molt on the average of monthly, I can tell which one molted due to the fact one is alot bigger than the other.

I see molts about every 4-5 weeks, only one shrimp so the timeframe is pretty accurate.

Yeah, every 4-5 weeks here also (peppermints) I'm trying to keep track now that we are trying to raise some larvae. Really cool watching them develop an entirely new body shape every couple of days. 10 days in and still going strong!
