How do you get pictures like that? Are you using a mesoscope?

I'm liking the second (blueleg) hermit pic -- you can see all the leg hairs! Not that I find that attractive on humans, of course... ;)

No mesoscope. I use my camera on macro mode with a tripod with a very small aperture with long shutter speed. All the pictures are tweaked and cropped with Paint Shop Pro 5. I try to get them as close normal color as I can and I up the contrast a bit as needed(my camera tends to wash out taking in tank pictures).

The camera is a Sony DSC-F707. It's a 5mp camera that is around 4-5 years old. It is hard to get pictures that have the super clean (fine) look that you can get with some of the newer DSLR cameras. One of these days I plan to upgrade to a Nikon D70 or D200, I just need to save my pennies and dimes and a few big bills....
