how long does your frozen food last?

just in general, how long does it last? when the tank is up, i was going to stockpile on frozen foods like clam,mysis,fomula 2, things like that. but if it doesn't last long i may just make my own frozen foods.

I stock up for about 6 to 8 weeks at a time. What I do is buy 2 of everything then take half and put it in freezer bags. Havent had any problems yet. :)

I would be interested in this as well because I have some frozen krill that I never got around to using that is probably about 4-6 months old by now.

Does it have freezer burn on it. Doesnt sound good.

IF it get freezer burn or becomes icey with ice crystals on it, I would not use it. I think of it this way If I wouldn't eat it in that condition then they shouldn't either.

Why is freezer burn bad?

Because freezer burn means that air(moisture) has gotten in there and usually spoils the food.

Have you ever cooked a steak that has had ice crystals on it. Smells horrible.

ok, so only get a medium amount food at a time, don't stock up for a year
