Just set up 90 gal with sump iwaki 1000 gph to a 20L custum 3 chamber sump. the water level in my first chamber is very close to spilling over the first baffle wall is this normal. diminsion on sump are 30" long 12 tall 12 wide baffle wall is 9" tall leaving 3"s to top of sump.

How is the water supposed to get past the baffel over or under it?

It looks to me that the baffles are just to high. You could cut them down a couple inches and it would lower the water level.

How tall and far apart should the baffles be? Mine are 9" tall and 1" apart.
