Yo Yo Yoooo...dudes....
Got my new skimmer today and wanted to post some pic. of this monster....It was very easy to set up and ajust. Its been running outta the box for 5 hrs and its making some skimmate already...just green foam so far but after break in Im sure its going to kicksumasshttp://adam skim

Ok sorry for all the empty posts...But here it is..I was afraid to turn this monster on, I thought it would suck my fish out too....Its been on one day and has started to skim dark brown what ever out....

This shot was testing unit to make sure it had now leaks before I broke my old unit down. Everything was great no assembly problems no leaks. This thing is made so well, it looks industrial instead of for a hobbiest.

Now its hooked up..Still all is well and making some skimmate, will have pics soon...

Ive noticed that you guys dont get all worked up like those deltec guys do over your equipment...Well **** I am....This thing is the you know what..
One very impotrant thing !! Brian did a super super packing job on this unit. Every thing had 6 inches of bubble rap on it, the pumps were rapped and seporated from the skimmer body, the ups guys had punctured the outer box but every thing was in the best of condition. Sweet. That is one amazing skimmer. One of the best skimmers in the hobby, period!

HI ALL....

Just wanted to up date what is going on with the new skimmer.

Make sure to do a lap around the house when you empty the collection cup, that way the whole family can share the "joy" :)
Do yoy have any tank pictures to share?

Yes, update us. Tell us your experiences. I should be unwrapping my new baby on Monday, and I could use the advice. How often are you cleaning it?

Brian has drilled my cup, and I have already fabricated a skimmate collection container to use. Probably overkill, but I have a float switch wired to a relay that will shut the Eheim's of if it gets full. It may never happen, but even if it saves one mess all over the place, it is worth it. Plus I already had the stuff laying around. It wil hold about 3 gallons.

Ive been messing around with ajustments, at first this skimmer was sucking out nasty looking dog doodo. Im not getting much now but figure it is in there so i raised level and tuned up the pump air inlets to half way. One thing, I dont like the over flow feed setup...not a good plan..
