Pistol shrimp... reinforcing walls?

I have been thinking about getting a pistol shrimp and watchman goby. My question is, will i need to reinforce my aquarium walls for this little guy? I have some acrylic i can slide in there if need be! Just wondering what you guys think!

My pistol just snaps when another critter upsets him. The snap is quite audible but certainly not hard enough to break aquarium glass. You may be thinking of the mantis that can break glass if it gets large enough.

Yea, I know the mantis will break glass! I was just curious if the pistol would be able to at all either. An interesting little guy for sure! Want to try and keep him in my minireef... will be very fun to be sleeping and awaken by his snapping!

The small ones definitely aren't capable of damaging glass.
