i have a new baby coming from a fellow reefer in cali (i'm in Ga.) in the next couple of days, and would like to know how to acclimate him.

at work my livestock also comes from cali, and with the fish it's usually just a float and flip acclimation, as recommended by my supplier which has had a surprising 99% survival rate. but with the inverts i will do a drip acl in a bucket. i'm wondering if the drip is totally necessary?
they say because of PH fluctuation and waste buildup in a dark bag during shipping that it's best to simply temp aclimate then net/catch and toss em in.

i'm just looking for reassurance on the answer that i already know is coming.....
Drip.....Drip....Drip...Drip....Drip

also, he's about 1.5" long currently, is a 10gal AGA a bad idea for housing, or would acrylic be that much better of an idea?

thanks,
chris

the 10 gallon will work for a little hitchhicker.
