I want to remove the center brace from my 46 gallon bow front and replace it with some 1/4" acrylic so there won't be a shadow on the display. I use a single 400w MH for lighting and it seems more cost effective in the long run over a 2 light system (175w or 250w) . Alot fewer bulbs to replace :)
My plan is to adhere the the new center brace (which will be 2x wider than the orginal, to account for bonding strength) over the old one, then cut the old one out after the new one is fully cured.
I'm also wondering if I can use the typical pvc type adhesive or should I use weldon 16 or something completely different?
