What fish can you keep with a FULL GROWN tesselata eel. Sharks? Rays? Groupers?
AND who here keeps tesselata eels and what tankmates, size, and other info on the tank?

I've got about a 3 foot tessalata and now that all 12 of my chromis have disappeared, the tess is eating squid, shrimp and mussels and I haven't seen any more fish disappear even though there are a couple which are small enough for the eel to eat.

mine is 4-5ft and is a serial killer
only thing safe with them (or at least affordable) are damsels
and cleaner shrimps
shes going into a 400 with a grouper next month and thats still kinda small imo
my tess used to live with another 4ft green moray till i separated them
they are both serial killer btw
the last thing my tessa killed was a 14" Imperator
the last thing my green eel killed was a 10" garibaldi
no fish is happy with either in a tank
they are like impending death...

I feed them Mackerel, sardines & chovies

Has anyone been successful with sharks or rays?

The tess would kill the shark or ray. What size tank are you planning on putting one in.

Not any time in the near future. Most likely in the summer. I plan on having a 10x3x2ft tank. 450 gallons. Yes you guys will say I don't have enough experience but here's the stocking list I want (in order) some eels and a pair of brownbanded bamboo sharks.

That tank will still be little to small for a tess

Ok. Seems like a tesse isn't the most adequete fish to keep. It still looks awesome. Just grows too big.

Yea still on the small side. A 15'x4'x31'' would house one. Not really a fish to keep with em. Maybe some small superfast fish but still would get em in the end. Look into a diff type like a zebra moray. Or a pair of golden tails would be cool.
