IceCap or Reef Fanatic Electronic MH Ballast?

I've been doing a lot of comparing between these 2 models. I'm sure I want to go electronic but can't decide between the RF or the IC. In ALL of Sanjay's spectral analysis/plots it seems as if the RF ballast is more intense in PAR then the IC ballast is.

What are your thoughts/takes on this?

Not sure if you can get the RF any more. Some say that EVC is the same ballast but EVC says it is not. IC is a good ballast with prices right along with all other eballasts. Plus their customer service seems to be second to none. That said i ahve never used IC ballast but know several that do and love them. HTH

Yes you can get the RF ballast, per RF themselves.

I will be running the Coralvue ReefLux 10k bulb. Here is Sanjay's low down on this bulb being powered by an assortment of ballast. I'm looking at the RF or IC. RF looks like a 12k color with a good par.

I would choose the Ice Cap. I bought a RF250 for HQI. it ran for about 8 months and POP. it didnt work anymore. I called they said, Strange send it back. I waited a bit and then and now they are wholesale only.

The RF 250 never looked that good using Phoenix and Hamiliton 250 HQI's
