got 2 hamilton 14k bulbs last night, put them in this morning and only 1 will fire. the 1 that is working is on a icecap electronic nad the non working is on a blueline electronic.
all that it does is flicker 1 time. guess it is back to the store.

update 1/2 hour later it is firing.
also wow what a difference the 14k makes coming from a ushio 10k

I've had bulbs do that in the past too. Yes, the 14K Hamilton does have a nice color to it. Although the par could be higher, I did get good growth using this bulb.

let them take time. Mine did that at first after a few days, they were fine.

what is the diff between the ushio and the 14K, im using ushio 10K now

Ushio 10k is crisp white and the 14k Hamilton are more blue. The Ushio looks more intense also.

this is the tank i got from sammie, i think that the ushios are more yello than white and that hamilton 14k is a crisp white with blue.

Hamilton 14k is nice. Just picked one up Tuesday.

my ushio 10 k 400 watter had a bit of yellow to them.
right now I like my reeeflux 10k but the hamilton 14k was my bulb of choice (may still be) I still am not totally sold on the reeflux
