Stonefish

I was wondering what kind this one is since I just rescued him from a friends tank, he is eating krill and silversides. I would also like to know what they usually go for since I would like to get rid of it.

Hard to tell, but I think I'm pretty sure it's a Scorpionfish. True stonefish don't have antenae over the eyes. It kinda looks like a Spotfin scorpion (Sebastapistes ballieui). They have a grayish body with some red spotting on the sides.

It's a cool fish. I had one that used to beg and take krill right out of my hand, just watch out for his spines...ouch!

i agree its a scorpionfish, not a stone fish.
That said, when you say you want to get rid of it, you mean you think you'll sell it back to a LFS? or a buddy? LFS will usually only give you a 1/3 of what it cost you, so maybe $5-10 in store credit
