I just finished hooking up my new phosban reactor. Is the clear water supposed to be near the bottom or in the middle or at the top? I have about 3 inches of phosban then 3 inches of clear water above tumbling media and the rest is phosban to the top. Is this correct? Jim

The water should become clear all the way to the top of the phosban. The phosban should be rumbling just a little on the top. When you first start it the water will be dirty for like a minute until it washes the dust off.

I cut down the flow to the reactor and it has settled down. I got a cloud in the aquarium though. Hopefully it will clear up. thanks Jim

I have some of the phosban in the tank floating arround. Will this hurt anything? I got the reactor settled down now. Jim

People have had serious problems with phosban getting into their tanks and settling on their corals. I would be running a filter sock and using a turkey baster/powerhead to make sure none of it settles on anything you value.
