Ya, the movie is based on the broadway musical.
Unfortunately, Saturday the 22nd was apparently almost sold out when I purchased the tix (they are sold out now through ticketmaster), so the seats are not very good. BalcF, Row U, Seats 1 and 3. I ordered them so that they were together through ticketmaster, so I don't know if the Palace has odd numbered seat numbers or something, but they should be together.

Great show. I saw the musical version on broadway and I recently saw the movie.
The staged version is SOOOO much better!
If your thinking about bringing kids, I wouldn't. Most stagings have a scene where they are all in a huge plastic "condom" and singing some provocative things. The overall language in the program is not great.
If I were in Columbus, I would buy. If you haven't seen a musical, this might be a good one to start with as there are many modern themes in it.
