Which would be your choice? It is for a 120 gallon. Why is downdraft better than other types of skimming?

I meant Deltec! Price is not a consideration.

IMO, downdraft I prefer beckett instead of DD skimmers. You should also consider the location of your tank. DD or beckett skimmers will make much more noise than a NW skimmer. If price is no option, for me, I would chose the deltec. If the skimmer were out of sight and sitting in the garage or something, on a large tank of over 200g or so, I might chose a beckett type like MRC.
