Everyone,

I've seen Azoo makes a larger battery powered airpump so when your power goes out it will kick in and do it's thing. This has two outlets that provide .15 cfm of air at 30" of water depth. It's actually runs off of elcetricity and keeps the battery charged and then kicks into operation when it sense it's lost power. Supposedly can run 14 hours on a full battery.

Anyway, my question is this:

I don't have anywhere to mount this in order for it to sit in the main display tank (and even if I did I wouldn't want airline tube running into the tank 24/7). If I have it setup to do it's thing in the sump right before the return pump section (the return pump can run for 5 hours off my UPS), does this mean it's providing as much oxygenated water to the display tank as if I was running this in the display tank itself?

This is a little confusing to me. Thanks for any input.

You don't need it as long as your main pump runs. You could keep one plugged in on standby and drop the airline in when your UPS dies.
