Where is a good place to find out the foods for fish and how to prepare and feed them? I would like to have a number of different foods for all my fish to give them variety.

I am picking up my first fish tonight, 2 true percs to put into quarantine before adding them into my main tank. what do you all feed your clowns?

thanks again

If you want a mixed food that has a variety of stuff in it, go with Brine shrimp plus, not plain brine shrimp, but brine shrimp plus. It has everything you could ever want to give your fish in it. Also if you want to go above and beyond, I would add garlic and selcon to the food, let soak and then feed.

As for finding out what fish eat, they pretty much eat everything. Talk the store you buy them from and they will tell you if they require anything special, most that you would want do not require live feeding. I would buy a book as well, go through find the fish that you like and it will tell you what they eat and the type of enviroment they typically live in. This will be the best thing that you could purchase. Hell take it to the fish store with you and if you see a fish you like, look it up and see if you think you can take care of it.

Yes, yuo can find them all at most local fish stores. if you want selcon and garlic, I would purchase those on-line as they tend to be a lot cheaper. The garlic is an immune booster and the selcon, is kind of like a vitam supplement for fish.

Cyclop-eeze is more for corals then fish...Yes garlic can, but you have to crush it and get the juice out of it, its a pain. I got 8fl oz of garlic gaurd from Drsfostersmith for 9 bucks and this will last me a very long time and does not reqiure going to the store all the time and the effort that is takes for extract the "garlic juice".

its more expensive and will not last as long. So that is more your call, I think alot of Kent stuff is over priced, plus the garlic gaurd is Seachem and you can not go wrong with them.

NO need for the cyclop-eeze.

I would just use-
-garlic gaurd
-selcon
-brine shrimp plus
-Nori (just normal seaweed, that can be found at any asain food store, just add it to a veggi clip. this is just for the tangs.

Again what size of tank?

Yeah you should be fine, with what I have written in the above post. Now if you decide to go with coral that is a whole new section on what you should feed and dose, not to mention what you will need for lighting.

I hope I helped clear some things up.
