need several hundred pounds for a new system set up. 6-800 gallons with DSB plus DSB refusium.



i live in Los Angeles. where do i go? i have pickup truck.

i assume you dont want live sand...

and dont get it from our nasty beaches...


only other sourse would be home depot for that much sand...

I wouldnt go so small. When I used it it was nothing but problems. The claims are that it can allow for a DSB with only an inch or two of depth. This is false, as any critter like a hermit that passes over it stirs it up easily, disrupting any possiblity of a DSB. The density of it is about the same as mulm, so detritus gets mixed in and is impossible to seperate w/o removing everything. It gets blown around easily, and when it doesnt get constantly stirred, it develops pockets of mold and sulphur deposits because it packs too fine to allow it to breath.

I stick with 2-5mm aragonite sand. Its the best IMO.
