View Full Version : Why only make enough Kalk for a weeks top-off?

Well I remember reading in one of your articles only make enough Kalk top-off water for a week.. Why is this? Does the top off water loose potency after that period or other ill effects? If it just looses its potency would a quick stir do the trick or?

OK great thanks Randy. I've added another top-off to my system for fresh water only since I've gotten my Neptune ACIII to not allow Kalk to pump if the ph of my tank is over 8.3 and I've noticed my kalk mix lasts a lot longer than it did in the past. Didn't want to add funky water to the tank.
