Hello RC Swimmers,

After two weeks of tweaking and adjusting, I finally got my SeaClone 100 Protein Skimmer to do it's job. It was skimming so much I had to turn it down a notch! Is the brown ooze that comes into the cup normal? I only have an 16 gal bow, I figured the Seaclone 100 should do great on a tank my size. Right now I have it set to to skim a full cup over a period of three days. Before when it first started skimming it was skimming way too fast I think. About a full cup in 30 minutes. One more thing, there are tiny microbubbles that seems to be returned back into the tank by the skimmer. They are not alot of them, and I have been tweaking the air valve untill I hardly got any bubbles, but it is challenging. Will the small amount of micro bubbles irritate or harm my fish? I do not want them getting it into their gills or anything. If you have any suggestions or experience with this type of skimmer please feel free to post info.

good morning quiet storm, yes its totally normal for that brown ooze to ooze out into the collection cup, furthermore the tiny bit of micro bubbles will not hurt the fish, your on the right track and keep us posted on your progress...
