I love newbies. This is the guy I actually talked into taking my Damsels. Just remember guys, before anyone says a word about INTEGRITY, I fully disclosed these things are not good choices and that he needs to remove them prior to putting anything into his tank like rock, coral, etc.

Does this make me a bad person? lol

I caught something after looking at your pictures and just wanted to make sure you've thought about it... You're going to get massive algae growth inside the clear flex-tubing that goes into and out of your SCWD. A better choice for tubing might be flexible PVC as it wont let nearly as much light penetrate through. You could also wrap the tubing up in tape or something.

It looks like you've got two sumps, is the smaller one for the skimmer? Or is that a refugium? And one more question, I see the bulkhead is coming out of the back of the tank; did you drill the tank on your own and put in a custom overflow box?

That is a clever way to mount the squid. I would wrap the tube though, that is a good point.

thanks i will use some flex pvc. that is a good point!
Aaron the tank on the left is the refugium i don't have a light on it yet and the one on the right is the sump and i still need a skimmer.what i'm getting is a AMS G3 skimmer. so for the time being i'm using a fluval 404 to keep the water clean till the money tree sprouts some new 100's and yes i drilled out the tank and put in the overflow and durso pipe. i have some pic's if you are interested?
thanks again for the advice :)
