Does any one have a tank bigger than 200 gal on there main floor?

What precautions did you take, for the weight?

Thanks

500 tank 300 sump 650# rock. Supported with (3) 4 x 8's running length of tank 8'. (5) 4 x 4's off each with adjustable pier blocks. total weight 7,000# 15 pier blocks at 466# per.... Seems more than stable. Also (2) floor beams running same as 4 x 8's...

260 on the main floor. We built a new home and put the tank in the plans. Had to engineer another beam and close the space on the floor joists, but everything turned out well. I'd also recommend setting the filters and sump in the basement if possible.

950g going in over a finished basement.
Had a steel structural engineer run steel I beams along the floor joists in my drop ceiling of the basement.
