Brian,
you wanted some photo of the install of my my A200xf2001 skimmer. For all those with height issues, here is what I had to do. I ran out of room under the tank. The wall behind the tank goes to the kitchen. So I drilled through the wall and now have various equiptment in kitchen cabinets. My wife is not happy about this. The "lazy susan" cabinet has the skimmer, waste collection, co2 tank, dosing pump and bionic. Under the sink is the r/o for the top off and 2 chamber calcium reactor. I hope the pictures give you the idea. The skimmer ROCKS. I love it. thanks again brian.

Unfortunately, that would never go over in my home.

The tank was there before the wife:D
She says I come home and say hello to the tank and then her.

Your wife must be the most tolerant woman on earth.
Did you have to hack up the underside of the countertop too?
I hope you never overflow the collection cup.

Not the countertop but the layer just under it. You can't see with it all closed up.
The collection cup is drilled and the drain goes to that large collection tube I made with auto shut off. It is a few gallons itself. If I connect the air intake to the collection it will auto shut off when full. I only do that when I go out of town because I want the freshest air going into the skimmer as possible. It is hard to see it in the pictures.

I love the install, I had to rush into the kitchen and show the wife the pictures :).
Now just make sure that she does not use the skimmate for her special seasoning on your supper:)

I am on alert.. the first sign of smell from there and I will have to scramble to mask it before the wife can get a wiff. So far so good!

Put a little Kalkwasser in the collection cup to keep the smell down.

Imbuggin,
Your wife must be very understanding. I dont think mine would go for it!!!

yes, ALL my wife is understanding, BUT!!
1) the tank was there before the wife was
2) She has tried many many times to get me to spend a few thousand dollars and drill through the floor and make cabinets in the garage to house all the equipment. The garage is right below the tank. All this was so she could get 1 cabinet back for pots and pans. I thought it was a bit excessive, so instead I put up a pot rack and bought her new pots and pans. We will see how long this "Band-Aid" fix will work.
Trust me when we do ever move I will not get away with this kind of stuff anymore. When we start to house shop next the back of my mind will ALWAYS be looking for where I can put my fish room.
