Hi is there a way to run that skimmer with the air valves all the way open when i do so the skimmer overflows
i am feeding 350 gph

i have to lower the air input to 720 on each pump or else its too powerfull
works like a champ at 720 just wondering what it would do at 900lph :)

You will be able to work up to full air, but depending on your tank, it may take a little while. After it skims for about a week, slowly turn the airflow up. I have seen it take up to 2 months to before being able to adjust to full air.

I had the same experience with the 2x1260, it took a while before I could run it wide open for two reasons. First, my plumbing was creating too much backpressure and my water level was a little high. So I shortened it up and lowered the water about an inch. Second, and most important - it took a while for the skimmer "catch up" with my tank. When you have a lot of organics, the foam builds faster and wetter. As your water clears up, it will become a little lower.

I think the concept of a skimmer being ahead of a tank is something the haters on RC just don't get. You'll get to the point that the 2x1260 is taking out stuff as fast as you can put em in. But it will take a while to get there, and you'll have to dial the pumps back a bit til you get there.

I wouldn't be too worried about getting the full 1,800+ LPH, even the Deltecs are all turned back to 2 o'clock - which restricts air by at least 20%.

I cant run at full tilt either. If i do it over flows, clear water. Also Ive noted that the bubbles are larger. I have both of the air feeds closed half way, and water outlet all the way open.

The A200-2x1260 does take a little while to allow full airflow, but as EXO stated, he bubble size decreases a little when pinched off. After the skimmer catches up with your tank, the airflow can be increased. This time varies with each tank. But it will still skim like crazy until then.
