i've been using the drip method to acclimate my inverts, but the water gets pretty cold by the time i want to put them in my tank. i put them in a 5 gal bucket on edge with the air hose running to it for about 2 hours. i was thinking of strapping some heat packs on the outside the next time i do this, is that ok? or what should i do?

Pick up a small (50w) heater from your LFS for the bucket. The titanium ones are good for this, glass ones tend to break easily with the bumping around to be expected with this process. THis way you can take your time acclimating.
