2 Questions? Just Got My 150-F2001

Ok I got the skimmer and put it together. However I have 2 extra pieces. One is a 2" coupler (larger on one side) and the other is just a piece of 1.5"(diameter) pvc about 2.5" long. Are these needed to setup this up?

Also how would I connect ozone to this skimmer?

It sounds like those are the pices that fit into the return. They convert the German/Euro metric to US standard.

To connect ozone, just hook the skimmer air line to your source of ozone.

The extra pieces are for converting the output from 50mm to 1.25" PVC, you do not have to use it, but if you want to direct the output, you can.
O using ozone, you will want to put a tee on the air intake, so that you do not restrict the air intake. Have the straight end of the tee going to the skimmer, and the 90 end going to the Ozone.

The 2 extra pieces work great to redirect the output back into the sump instead of just having the water flow straight out of the T like a waterfall. You can always put a 1.25" 90 degree elbow with a short piece of PVC pipe so that it terminates just above your waterlevel in the sump. If you want it even smoother and less noise, put a 45 degree elbow at the very end of the PVC pipe.
