"DT" is a name brand so to speak for live phytoplankton. You can buy it at marine depot and probably from your lfs. Since it is a "live" product it does have to stay refrigerated.

is that one of those foods that must be refrigerated? Because the phyto has to refrigerated, it also has to be shipped "Overnight or Next day" - expensive. I would try to find it locally if at all possible. You generally won't use too much too fast. Get a bottle size you can use up in a month or so. And most importantly, be sure to check for an expiration date.

And while this product does feed some creatures - it doesn't feed most fish, many corals ... like anything in the hobby - be sure you need it before you're sold on it.

It is what I get after the bars close down. :D

BTW, I believe the abbreviation DT is the owners initials, Dave (or Dan) Tarragen or something like that. I met him at a seminar in Michigan and mentioned that I wanted to start culturing my own phytoplankton. He told me it was a bad idea. Go figure huh!?! I used to brew my own phtyo to feed to my cultured rotifers. Worked great and always had at least (4) 2 litre bottles of extra phyto to give to friends and such.

What is DT for?

Soft corals eat it up. I used to put a capful into my 75g system once a week. I see there are some people that dose it daily. It's a very small type pf plankton, hence the name of course.

BTW, I believe the abbreviation DT is the owners initials Yes that's correct. DT (http://www.dtplankton.com/contact.html)is his initials. His site gives some explanations about his products.
