Dear Fellow Reefers,

Some of you know me and have seen my system, and many of you do not. I encourage anyone interested to come by and see it. You will not be disappointed. Let me also say with no ambiguity: THIS SYSTEM IS FOR SALE AS A COMPLETE PACKAGE.

This system has been put together using what I feel to be the best components available. Everything is top of the line. The system is also designed to be extremely quiet and self-sufficient. I rarely do anything to the system except feed every day or every other day. I do water changes when I have time, but rarely have to add anything to the water. The top off lasts for a month + without needing to be refilled. If you want a top-notch system that runs quietly enough for your den, creates very little heat, and is almost entirely self-maintaining, you should consider mine. All hardware has been very well maintained and is in excellent condition. All pumps are pulled every 3-4 months an run in water/vinegar for 24 hours. I have never had any disease in my tank. All livestock has been properly quarantined with the exception of the tank-raised clowns. The acrylic skimmer and sump are cleaned twice/year.

E-MAIL me @ cknox2@yahoo.com if you are interested in the ENTIRE SYSTEM, LIVESTOCK AND ALL. I will, however, consider selling to 2 different people if one wants the livestock and one wants the dry goods.

PLEASE DO NOT E-MAIL ME WITH REQUESTS FOR PARTS.

If the system does not sell buy June, I will consider parting it out. If you are interested in particular pieces, you can post that here and in June I will refer back to this thread (if the system has not sold) and begin contacting people in order of post. If you are interested in a significant part of the system, but not all of it, I suggest you buy the whole thing and sell off what you don’t want.

Fail-Safe systems:
Electronic leak detection devices built into stand

3 Battery powered air pumps hard wired into system; they activate automatically if the power goes off and will create enough aeration and water movement to sustain the tank for many hours (supposedly up to 24).
Temperature alarm that goes off if tank gets more than 2 degrees too hot or too cold
System will not overflow if power goes off (it has happened 5 times since I set it up, once for 6 hours).

1 Magnum 350 Delux
1 20 gallon Rubbermaid trash can
a zillion test kits
pounds and pounds of CaCl2, buffer, etc.
Multiple power strips
Boxes and boxes of accessories I have collected over the last year or two.

OK, Now for the livestock:

Fish:
1 4.5” Yellow Tang
1 3” Royal Gramma
Mated pair of tank-raisedFalse Perculas, hosting enormous Colt Coral
5” Hawaiian Ornate (Charistmas) Wrasse

Snails:
Assorted nassarius, astrea, cerith, and conch

Corals:
(All of these corals are 3rd-10th generation tank raised corals. I look for two things in coral: color and movement; thus, I stick to soft corals. This is easily $1000 worth of coral, way more if you frag it all up)

1 huge colt coral (>16” across and >1 foot tall)
2 medium Palau Sinularia, 6-8” tall (neon green, extremely Rare)
1 large snow-white sinularia 10”+ when fully extended
1 large frogspawn w/26 heads
1 reverse pattern frogspawn w/5-6 heads
2 small-medium Kenyan trees
2 small-medium african trees
Neon-green star-polyps, colony about the size of a half a cantaloupe
5 various size leather corals
2 short-tentacle pulsing zenia colonies, white, one with 2 heads, one with 8 heads
1 medium white spaghetti leather, 8” or so tall
1 medium piece of live rock with ~65 red mushrooms on it, all very small to medium size
1 rock with 8 blood-red stippled mushrooms on it
1 rock with 5 blue striped mushrooms on it
1 rock with 5 large furry mushrooms on it
TONS of zoos, hundreds of neon green, pink, orange, blue, brown, etc. Numerous softball size pieces of live rock covered to confluency
1 small purple gorgonian

Live Rock:
60 lbs of Figi Ultra
30-40 lbs of Hawaiian Base rock (been in tank >1 year)

Sand: ½” aragonite

So….
The cost of the dry goods, if you were to buy them all new at the best internet prices, would be ~$4400.
The livestock is easily worth $1000+ if sold separately

This is all excellent equipment/livestock in excellent condition, so please, no low-ball offers. Serious offers only please.

As a final note, if you have SKYPE, you can call my computer and I can give you a "tour" of the whole set-up using video conference. E-mail me for details.

Thanks,
Clayton
