It wasn't until I was filling the unit that I saw there is a gap between the first and second filter stages where water will just pour out.
I guess they didn't hook it up? I'm attaching an image. Did this happen to anybody else? I've emailed customer service but its Sunday. This has to be a defect.
Could somebody who has one of these units describe how their first filter stage is connected to the second one? I could loosen the 4 phillips screws on the top of the first stage and slide it over but I think I would have to seal it somehow ...

Quality control is not what it should be at airwaterice. Call them and complain. They will send you whatever you need to fix it. If you get lucky they won't send you a defective replacement.

When i hooked mine up it sprayed water all over the place, apparently the o-ring wasnt sitting right in the RO canister, was a pretty easy fix, but you would think they would catch stuff like that before shipping stuff out. I dont see why they couldnt do a pressure check on the systems beofre they go out the door....

I ordered the typoon II and mine worked excellent from the get go....mistakes happen....but I'm sure if you call them and freak out like i do when foster and smith messes something up they'll make it right

My RO/DI unit from a different company arrived damaged so don't be discouraged as it is not just happening to you.

My typhoon III leaked slightly, but after a few minor adjustments, all is good. Hope they come through for you.
