Anyone have some hints to make the water flowing into my sump quieter? I just have the water falling straight into my sump with a pvc tube and its about 1.5in below the water line. Also i was trying to find out some ways to quiet down my overflow. Here is the hang on overflow that i have. http://us.st11.yimg.com/store1.yimg.com/I/yhst-66907246933688_1887_5594089
I would make a standpipe for it but it would make the waterline to high in the overflow box and it would flood over. Im still messing with everything since this is a new setup and im trying to quite it down.

take that old pipe out and put a stockman standpipe in it, get rid of that sponge thing

it seems like the pipe and bulkhead are glued in. Maybe the pipe is just glued to the bulkhead. Will i still be able to get the bulkhead out you think? or could they have glued this in also. Bulkheads just screw in right? I will most likely add the stockman tomorrow if i get some time. Anyone have any idea of making the water going into the sump quieter, or pics of how your water enters your sumps?
Thanks again ste6168

Forgot to ask, do you think i will get more flow with the stockman standpipe instead of the plain pipe that is in it now?
